The ‘Ber Months Are Here: Christmas Season Starts at iFOVS

September 1 means one thing in the Philippines: the ‘ber months have started, and so, unofficially but unmistakably, has Christmas. Radio stations reach for the carols, malls start hanging lights, and somewhere a lola has already asked when the parol is going up. It is the longest-running Christmas season on earth, and it starts today.

At iFOVS, that matters for more than mood. We are a Philippine team supporting businesses in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia, and the ‘ber months are exactly the stretch where our clients need the most from us and our own team is busiest celebrating. Getting both right is the job.

What the season means for the clients we support

Q4 is peak season for a lot of the industries we work in. E-commerce stores brace for Black Friday and the holiday order surge. Real estate teams push to close before year-end. Travel desks handle the busiest booking window of the year. None of that pauses because the Philippines is in full Christmas mode — if anything, the two overlap on the calendar in a way that rewards planning early rather than late.

That is the practical reason we are writing this now, on day one, instead of waiting until December. If your business relies on offshore support through the fourth quarter, this is the week to talk to us about coverage: which Philippine holidays fall where, how shifts get planned around them, and how we keep response times steady through the busiest weeks of your year and ours.

What it means for our team

Ber months here are not just a countdown to December 25. They are Simbang Gabi at dawn, office parties that start creeping onto the calendar from October, and a genuine, shared lift in mood that runs through the whole building. We plan our own scheduling around it deliberately — celebrating properly and keeping client work covered are not in tension when the coverage plan is built in advance, which is exactly what we do every year.

An early Merry Christmas, from iFOVS

So: happy September 1, happy start of the ‘ber months, and yes — we are already saying Merry Christmas. If you want to talk about Q4 coverage before the season gets busy for everyone, our team is a message away.
